DID YOU KNOW?
Even in the later phases of life, our brains form new connections. This process is called neurogenesis. Walking in nature decreases cortisol, a stress hormone in our bodies (In Japan it's called forest bathing). Neurogenesis reduces the development of Alzheimer's disease. Exercise in the morning (YES WALKING!) exposes you to blue light which regulates the release of melatonin in the evening and improves sleep. Step out in nature in the afternoon for 10 minutes and you'll improve your mood, and self esteem. Evening Meditation increases melatonin x 5. For a healthy brain and a good night's sleep: Walk in the AM, step out in the afternoon and meditate in the PM |

Fall is here but the days are lengthening. Keep your mood elevated by moving your body daily in the outdoors, if possible. Improve your sleep by giving yourself light exposure.
